Ataahua is 7 and has both Leigh's Disease and Mitochondrial Disorder, leaving her with a very uncertain future.
Her simple and beautiful wish was to go on a camping holiday with her family and to visit her nana in Northland
Maori TV "Native Affairs' heard about Ataahua and travelled with the family on their Make-A-Wish organised road trip - the first time the whole family had been able to travel together for a long time.
The result was this sensitive investigation into Ataahua's condition and a wonderful celebration of the holiday. Our thanks to Adrian Stevanon and the team at Native Affairs for producing the documentary and sharing Ataahua's story with their viewers. .
