Whether elites, professionals, trade, working class or patricians; all elders in our society have a responsibility to be as brothers and sisters in our global community; providing safe and proper care of those who are most vulnerable in our society. This includes the elderly, frail, ill and our young. Especially as recent times have shown us children at all levels of education need protection. Organizations whether churches, courts, educational institutes, commercial enterprises, political parties need to have clear instructions that the protection of the vulnerable come first not the institution.

The most important of all is that organizations protect the vulnerable against any future abuse and bullying and set-up a culture that has at its core DOING NO HARM.  How can humankind develop and grow to fulfill its potential without these fundamental qualities of humanity? Or even live what would be considered a normal life according to its age if they live with the pain of such wretched and miserable suffering. When teaching or caring for our future carriers of healthy human sentience we need rules and processes that include removing or suspending those who have been found to breach such conditions of employment through proper legal procedures. There must be an absolute determination of this mandatory value.

The future must include removing from leadership all those who were part of those scandals and bringing into organizations a new breed of strong leadership that promotes the new culture of DOING NO HARM.  Letting go of the past scandals and controversies can only be achieved through contrition, remorse, and recognition of wrongdoing.  These past crimes and the processes that allowed such a culture must be settled according to the law of the land but also because it is the correct thing to do.  No matter where in Australia

These persons who hold positions of authority in our community such as teachers have need of great care in the years to come to find new pathways that promote the beliefs of DOING NO HARM and backed by legal structures within law such as the courts and employment commissions etc.  There are many apparent and obvious reasons that such protective measures are instigated by the various organizations since there are many occasions within the current laws that even plain human rights have been ignored and swept under the carpet.

This should mean that we use all in our power to achieve our goals of DOIN NO HARM. This would mean positive organizational improvements to enhance and support the correct conditions for the desired outcomes.  But we must accept we can STOP this abuse and make sure this means terminations, prosecutions by investigators, police officers and legal prosecutors.  All organizations Public Schools, Catholic Patrician Brothers Schools, Swimming institutions, Sports centers must all come under new rules and this requires a Royal Commission.

This terrible tragedy must be rectified.
