Penelope Sai is an award-winning Australian vocalist and lyricist who is embarking on a brand-new project that is a tribute to her love of spy movies. In her newly recorded compilation Penelope Sai is taking on some of the most famous bond movie hits. In one of the first jazz compilations of its kind, this newly produced series of Bond movie hits could make an excellent gift or easy listening for fans of the films.

From Russia With Love was another title track produced by J Barry and D. Black. Barry was responsible for hits such as Goldfinger, From Russia with love and Diamonds are Forever. In this sweeping orchestral hit, the action hits hard to start this amazing Bond film.

Penelope Sai takes her own approach to this thrilling theme song. Slowing things down and performing a simple arrangement which leads to a much different and jazzier sound.

In this second Bond film creators wanted to build a theme song that we definitely build suspense early on in the film and this is exactly what the title track is able to do. This is one of the first situations in which James Bond is introduced to Specter as well as a team of Russians who are out to snatch a decoding device that they could use in the Cold War. Bond faces plenty of deceit and trickery and some worthy adversaries who even managed to lure him into a trap. All of this excitement is portrayed in the theme song and this can be a tall order for any musician to capture.

Penelope Sai does an excellent job with her rendition of from Russia with love and you can almost see the title theme playing in the background as the song continues.
